Long term resident Mrs jubjub sadly died a short time ago
(Jan 09). she will be missed as she has been with us for a long while.
She was brought as a mate for Jubjub, one of our rescues a male dab lizard, who has such a good temperament and actually cared for his last tank mate, who died of cancer.
Mrs jubjub started off very nervous of people and shy, but soon opened up and became handleable and tame enough to eat from the hand.
Mrs jubjub trapped her foot, and it was crushed and ripped very badly. Veternary consultation looked like she would loose her foot, but a few days later despite the medication she went down hill over night. Rushing her into the vets again the following morning, where she died hours later.
Jubjub is now being moved into a vivarium with a large female bearded dragon and a blue tonged skink, other long term residents here at berks reptile rescue.
This is Bud. He came in towards the end of a course of antibacterial treatment. He perked up but had a huge relapse and died over night.Chameleons like Bud are delicate and should not be kept by the beginner no matter how cute the animal looks.

Nemesis the water dragon, rehomed to one of our fosterers, developed a gut blockage and was egg bound. Despite a visit to the vet she passed away.
This is George another dab lizard who strangly enough came to us again with a cancerous tumour, he lived a lot longer than vets predicted but eventually passed away in the night.
